What this service is

This My IQ is a free online cognitive test of 50 questions that reports a score on the standard IQ scale (mean 100, standard deviation 15) together with a percentile and a per-domain breakdown. It is provided as-is, for entertainment and self-exploration.

What this service is not

It is not a clinical, psychometric or diagnostic instrument, and it is not administered or reviewed by a licensed professional. The score it produces has no official standing.

You must not rely on it for any medical, educational, employment, immigration, legal or financial decision. If you need an assessment that carries weight, consult a licensed psychologist.

Using the site

You may take the test as often as you like, and share your own certificate wherever you like. You may not scrape, resell or republish the questions, present the test or its results as your own, or use automated means to distort the public statistics on /stat.

Your certificate

A certificate carries the name you typed, your score, your percentile and your domain scores, encoded inside its link. Anyone holding that link can read them. Creating and sharing a certificate is always your own action — decide accordingly, and see the Privacy Policy for what the server does and does not keep.

Accuracy and availability

The questions are generated fresh for each session, so no two runs are identical, and results vary with tiredness, distraction and practice. We make no promise that a score is repeatable or comparable with any other test.

The service may be unavailable, changed or discontinued at any time without notice.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. The adverts shown are selected by Google, not by us, and their presence is not an endorsement of what they contain.

Intellectual property

The site design, its written content and the question generators are ours. The certificate you generate is yours to keep and share.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from any decision taken on the basis of a score it produced. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If these terms change, the date above is updated and the new version applies as soon as it appears here.
